What is the Figma Community?
The Figma Community is a space in the Figma platform where people, teams, or organizations can publish files, plugins, and widgets as well as discover resources and support other creators.
It includes things like shared design files, plugins, collaborative projects, and discussion forums, even allowing users to add comments to work or follow profiles.
And best of all, all of these shared resources are open to everyone! From beginner designers to the most seasoned professionals, there’s something for everyone and lots to learn to further develop your skills and boost your design expertise.

How to Join the Figma Community
Joining the Figma Community is super simple! Just follow the steps below:
- Create a Figma account — Go to Figma’s website and click on “Sign up” in the top right corner. Enter your email address and your new password, then click “Sign up.”
- Set Up Your Profile — Figma will have you verify your email address. Once you do that, log in and click your profile picture in the top-left corner of the screen. Click “Settings” in the account menu, then navigate to the “Community” tab and click “Claim your handle.” Type in your new handle and click “Create profile” to confirm.
- Explore! — You’re in! Start exploring the Figma Community by browsing through shared files, plugins, or widgets. You can follow other creators, comment on their work, and participate in discussion forums. When you’re ready, share your own design files and other assets and see who interacts with you!
