Strategic Event Sales Specialist

This role is designed to open a powerful new sales channel for Designity by building a strong in-person presence across New York City and beyond. As our Strategic Event Sales Specialist, you will identify high-impact industry events, connect with senior decision-makers face-to-face, and guide prospects through the full sales cycle - from first conversation to signed client.

Your Role
- Strategy & Field Ownership
- Own Designity’s field sales channel in NYC and act as the internal expert on in-person selling
- Define and continuously refine event selection criteria based on ICP, ROI, and pipeline impact
Build quarterly field plans outlining target events, industries, and revenue goals - Represent Designity in person and confidently engage Directors, VPs, and C-level leaders in consultative conversations
- Pipeline & Revenue Generation:
- Convert in-person conversations into qualified opportunities and closed revenue
- Design and execute post-event follow-up strategies (email, LinkedIn, warm intros, referrals)
- Work closely with SDRs or marketing to scale outreach from high-performing events.
- Partnerships & Strategic Accounts
- Identify agency, tech, and ecosystem partners for co-selling or referral relationships
- Surface strategic account opportunities and share them with internal stakeholders
- Event & Community Leadership
- Host or co-host Designity-led events, roundtables, or private dinners for decision-makers
- Build long-term relationships with event organizers, communities, and industry groups
- Position Designity as a thought leader within the creative, marketing, and brand ecosystem
- Feedback Loop & Internal Impact
- Provide market feedback to leadership on buyer objections, pricing sensitivity, and positioning
- Share insights from the field to inform marketing messaging and GTM strategy
- Collaborate with marketing and leadership to align field efforts with broader go-to-market initiatives.
- Help define playbooks and best practices for future field sales hires.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in full-cycle, field, or events-driven sales
- Sales Acumen with proven experience in "hunting" new business and closing high-value deals.
- Proven success in engaging senior decision-makers at the Director, VP, and C-level
- Background in creative, marketing, or design agencies, ideally within the NYC agency ecosystem.
- Strong consultative selling skills with excellent verbal and written communication.
- High level of organization, follow-up discipline, and CRM hygiene.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate in-person conversations into pipeline
- Curiosity about AI, automation, and modern sales methodologies
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven approach
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Willingness to travel occasionally for events and conferences outside of NYC.
