Chief Financial Officer


The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) should be an analytical thinker and strategic executor. The CFO is responsible for oversight of all financial projections and planning, modeling, cash management, and risk management processes within the organization. In addition, the ideal CFO will be responsible for payroll and payment processing, reviewing and approving all department budgets, forecasting economic trends, and managing fiscal policies and guidelines throughout the company.  

Designity is a subscription-based virtual creative platform that is disrupting the traditional advertising agency model, creative recruitment firms, and traditional in-house creative teams. We do this through technology, innovative ideas, and new ways of seamless virtual collaboration. Our vetted community of US-based Creatives and Creative Directors collaborate to support mid to large-sized businesses with their design and marketing needs. Hundreds of brands like Oracle, Audible, Marriott International, Pfizer, Calendly, and Kung Fu Tea have already benefited from Designity’s unique model.

  • Creating and executing the company’s financial strategy such as financial projections, budgeting, margins, and metrics strategy.
  • Managing all accounting functions, including payroll, account receivables, expense processing, taxes, and revenue recognition.
  • Collaborating with the executive team for fundraising and monitoring the spending of the funds.
  • Analyzing and improving current pricing and commission structure such as margins and acquisition costs.
  • Establishing and tracking financial metrics (customer acquisition cost, customer lifetime value, etc.).
  • Analyzing the organization’s strengths and weaknesses and proposing strategic directions that align with growth goals.
  • Developing plans for growth to increase company profit while also reducing expenditure.
  • Identifying investment opportunities.
  • Developing and analyzing financial reports for quarterly and annual targets.
  • Financial forecasting and modeling based on the company’s past performance as well as internal and external factors affecting revenue and expenses.


  • Higher education is required such as a PhD or Masters degree in finance or accounting. 
  • Experience in managing financial resources, analyzing the market, and building financial models to guide the company's growth.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present financial data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Solid understanding of accounting and business data analytics with a strategic mindset.
  • Ability to creatively develop and implement innovative solutions for capital structure with budgeting limitations.
  • Ability to build financial models and detailed presentations for stakeholders and potential investors.
  • Strong understanding of equity and debt financing to support our fundraising activities.
  • Experience working with startups is a big plus.
  • Experience working with design and marketing agencies is a big plus.
  • Knowledge of blockchain technology and Crypto is a big plus.

The Hiring Process

1. Interactive  Application

We don't read resumes! Because we believe in getting to know you in a more effective way, our method is a little bit different. We may  ask for a quick video to let you express yourself.

2.Intro Video Call

A member of the Careers & Community team will schedule a 15-30 minute video call to learn more about you and talk more about the Designity community.

3. Challenge Project

Because work product tells us more than words on a resume, we assign you a challenge project so you can show off your skills!

4. Technical Interview

Have a chance to meet with one or more of the leaders to chat about the role and opportunity and talk through the Challenge Project you've completed.

5. Offer & Onboarding

Getting started is as easy as 1-2-3! Once you accept an offer, we celebrate! Then, we move you into our onboarding process to start your journey.
